This group is more vulnerable, in most cases this is as a result of early unwanted pregnancies, lost parents due to terminal disease like HIV/AIDs and also high level of poverty in the communities which results in to many of the kids seeking greener pasture on streets to beg for what to sustain them, others end up doing drugs, from the case study we carried out early this year(2018) and the community out reaches in Musoto slum found in Mbale district, this is in the eastern part of Uganda . It has got a population of over 500 people and half of them are children and teenagers under the age of 18 years. and 30% of that half is not in school due to different reasons.

Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to find. So we created a new line for everyday life, All simplest things are the hardest to find you.

Out task as the out reach organisation has been to help them in education by putting some of them in different schools with the requirements needed and provide shelters for them in our capacity and giving them Our interventions are also looking at counselling these teenage mothers so that the same isn’t repeated , hence our collaboration with parents, teen fathers, schools and religious leaders to address the issues of teenage pregnancies that are on the rise, we also request teenage mothers to talk to teens still in schools.
